27 participants and 18 partner representatives met in Cape Town for debrief seminar

All FK-participants that have been at exchange, meet for debriefing seminar together with representatives from the home-organisations. The last seminar was held at Oatlands Holiday Village, Simons Town - Cape Town in South Africa from 22-22 May 2010.
The course attracted a total of 27 participants and 18 partner representatives from South Africa, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Namibia, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Mozambique and Kenya.
The partnerships represented in the exchange programmes above are the following:
- Sports partnership - SCORE;
participants were involved in conducting sports programmes at community levels for the youth aimed at building stronger and healthier communities through sport
- Water boards partnership - Bloem Water;
the participants were involved in improving on the finance and Human resource systems of the water boards in the host countries and also one involved in water project expansion management
- Governance, research and development partnership - IDASA;
the participants were involved in developing research frameworks, conducting research on electoral processes and parliamentary affairs plus research analysis. Others were involved in developing Human rights monitoring tools/Human rights education and Website maintenance and upgrading
- Gender and women empowerment partnership – NAWOU;
the participants were involved in research on women and gender issues, designing, testing and monitoring for quality advocacy methodologies on women's rights. They were also involved in sharing the best practices in community mobilization and women empowerment issues.
- Green Resources Partnership;
the participants worked on programmes strengthening the capacities of their host organizations who focus on forest plantations, carbon offsetting, forest products and renewable energy.
- Norwegian Church Aid partnership;
participants were involved in a number of programmes focusing on Peace and Conflict in the great Lakes countries
The two last organisations are part of the North-South programme, the others are South-South programmes within the FK-exchange.
The general aim of the seminar was to reflect and share experiences by both participants and partners. And also prepare the participants for the re-integration into their home environments.
The debriefing covered areas which included among others;
- Reflections from last home coming seminar
- Partnerships presentations (sharing experiences)
- Individuals drawing of their time line charts and presentations
- Drawing and presentation of the general curve for challenge and their recommendations
- Confronting home coming with experience from abroad (by psychologist)
- Follow up activities
