Try a new approach! Bringing people together is an international week of activities . FK Norway works together with local groups to strengthen the international commitment, and to create new meeting places in the municipalities. FK Norway, the municipality and local groups makes activities for the inhabitants. FK Norway make their own events, and support other activities.

What does FK Norway do?
FK Norway gives support to local activities as a part of the Bringing People Together consept. Primarily there will be organized a local steering committee who will be in charge of activities. The Steering committee will normally be formed by municipality employees, sometimes local FK Norway partners, and other important international players. FK Norway will be responsible for PR activities like ads, flyers, posters and press coverage.

School visits
FK Norway participants from Africa, Latin America or Asia are offering the local schools an opportunity to get a school visit. They involve the students on the UN Millennium Goals.

International Muncipality
Many municipalities deserve the honorary award International Municipality, given out by FK Norway and The Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (KS). Its purpose is to stimulate the international commitment. Together with FK Norway will the steering committee find out how the award shall be handed out.

Scenario workshop
Those municipalities that receives the honorary award International Municipality, will be challenged by a Scenario Workshop. Working in 150 hectic minutes, thirty or more people from the municipality are involved in one task; To make the municipality more international. The end result are concrete challenges handed over to the political leadership of the municipality.
